Escala Medical, a pioneering femtech company based in Misgav, Israel, has successfully raised $4.5 million in a recent funding round. The funding round was supported by the EIC Fund, following a substantial €2.5 million grant awarded to Escala in October 2023 through the prestigious EIC Accelerator program. Additional backing came from private investors in the United States and Israel, reflecting strong international confidence in Escala's vision and technology.
Escala's flagship device, which has already received FDA approval, is designed to offer a safer and more effective treatment for POP. Since its commercial launch in the U.S. in 2023, hundreds of successful procedures have been performed, demonstrating the device's potential to transform women’s healthcare.
The newly acquired funds will be utilized to expand Escala’s commercial operations in the U.S. market and to prepare for entry into Europe, pending CE approval. This expansion is a critical step toward addressing the unmet needs of women worldwide who lack access to advanced POP treatments.
